Committed to Education

The Wheatland Police Department is a progressive department that is committed to the education of our Officers. As outlined in our mission statement, in order to maintain the quality of life for our community, we will accomplish through education and training of our officers.

At the end of 2006, Officers with the Wheatland Police Department have a combined total of 14,220 hours of POST certified training and 63 years of experience.

The Wheatland Police Department also continues in house training with a certified Custody Control Instructor, TASER Instructor, Firearms Instructor, and Glock Armor.
